Day 47: Sun 6 Jun - Darwin

18-32 degC, a much more pleasant day in Darwin

Being a Sunday, Greg decided he wanted to go to Church, so after breakfast he cycled into the city to the Uniting Church.  A great service by Rev Dr Andrew Williams, who also has a sense of humour.  The people were extremely hospitable and insisted that Greg stay for a cuppa after the service.  He then continued his ride around the city, to Cullen Bay and the Botanic Gardens, all on amazing bike paths.  Wendy elected to do some serious washing, grocery and fuel shopping. By the time she had completed all those tasks, Greg was home for a late lunch.   After lunch we got stuck into some vehicle spruicing - sweeping the carpets and Armoral'ing the inside, readying it for another couple of weeks on the road. The outside has still not been cleaned, but that's OK.  We're waiting for some rain.

An after dinner video catch-up with our fellow cycling buddies who are at Weipa and making a break for Bamaga tomorrow was fantastic. We read their blogs every day, so we know where they are, however, it was nice to 'have a chat'.

The church is an unusual shape but very roomy inside
