After early morning walks, Greg took the Cruiser in for its 30 000 km service, while Wendy did some real work. After brekky in the city and a wander around Greg walked home for mornos. Meanwhile Wendy phoned around to try and find a caravan HWS repair man. We couldn't get it started on gas, but it works perfectly well on 240v. Eventually she was given the name of someone who agreed to come out in the afternoon to have a look.
The man came out just after lunch and spent about 20 minutes diagnosing the problem and replacing the offending tiny part (a sensor worth a few $) for the extortionate fee of $200! Never mind, we needed it fixed, and now it is. We can at least free-camp with a proper hot shower on our way back home.
After lunch Greg went for a ride back into the city to pick up the Cruiser and only paid $295 for that! Thank goodness for fixed-price servicing. We then refuelled ready for an early get away on Thursday.
The ham hock soup was just what we needed for dinner with rain and wind outside.
