Today was domestication day for Wendy. After a quick morning cuppa, it was off to Woolies to be there at opening time, 7 am to beat the hordes. We were out of there by 7:40 am. As soon as we got home, Greg was off on his bike into the Courthouse markets (markets are held in the Courthouse car park) whilst Wendy unpacked the groceries, did the washing, and cleaned some of the van. After his barra curry for breakfast at the markets, Greg rode out to the wharf/port area, then via Cable Beach where he thought he might get a coffee, however, there were no coffee shops to be found. He was home for a late mornos.
After his pseudo-coffee fix, we jumped in the Cruiser and first stop was BWS for resupplies. Alcohol restrictions apply in the Kimberley because some people just cannot control themselves, so we all have to suffer the consequences. Anyway, moving right along. Because Wendy wanted to see the wharf/port area and Entrance Point, we drove there and then onto Gantheaume Point and the lighthouse. The views were quite speccy - white sandy beach, blue seas, red rocks, all contrasting nicely.
Back home for lunch and an LLD, then a pre-pack in preparation for our departure tomorrow. Greg reckons he could stay another couple of days, although Wendy thinks it is time to move on. Maybe if the wind was not so blowy, and there were not so many people??
Before heading to our favourite Thai restaurant for dinner, we went via Cable Beach to watch the sunset, which was not nearly as good as it was yesterday. We had another fantastic meal at the Thai restaurant, then refuelled the Cruiser on the way home.
