4-14 degC, cloudy with some sun and a persistently lazy wind
Our fourth day of free camping and we are loving it. Thanks to the 160 litre water tank in the back of the Cruiser we have plenty of water for several more days.
Wendy had a go at the detector this morning but reckons it’s not really her thing. There was no beginners luck to spur her on, so she handed over to Greg. He found another little nugget this afternoon, so he’s happy with the detecting again for another day. We both agreed that being out here in this rugged but beautiful environment with friends and having a good time is priceless. The gold fossicking is just a bonus.
We watched the sun go down over drinks but didn’t hang around any longer as the cold came in as soon as the sun disappeared. That sent us all scurrying inside to our heated vans and dinner. We suspect it’s going to be a very chilly morning tomorrow.
