Day 20: Mon 10 May - Mt Isa

19-31 degC, fine and sunny again, with a slight breeze in the morning increasing in the afternoon.

Our day started with a rather steep walk up to the Ray Donaldson Memorial Lookout which is possibly Mt Isa's tallest hill, see elevation profile. That got the worms biting and it was back home for breakfast. Wendy then did some more work, whilst Greg fixed another puncture on his MTB (might have to stick to the roads for these Northern environs).  He then went for a spin around The Isa.  Called into town to buy some new tubes (thorn proof) and have a look at getting tougher tyres; possibly even some kevlar lined ones.  He came home with only the one normal tube as there was a limited range for 29ers in both the bike shops.  Will try again in Darwin.

After lunch and a rest (Greg is getting the hang of this 'resting' caper), we hit Woolies for a grocery resupply before we head off into the boonies for a while.  The caravan is now a few kg heavier!
