Day 114: Thu 12 Aug - Devils Marbles to Tennant Creek, 105 km; total towed: 13 215 km

17 (felt like 14) - 31 deg C, definitely warmer

After coffees and more walks around the Marbles, we hit the road at 8:30 am.  No reason to stop today until we reached Tennant Creek.  Checked in at the Outback Caravan Park, site #8, at 10 am.   A very well laid out park with mostly drive-through sites.  We set up first then had mornos and discussed the days activities.

We left the bikes on the back of the van today as it was a little too windy for riding.  Took a walk to the Information Centre and Battery Hill Mining Centre to book a spot on the mining tour.  The tour had already started so we decided to go back tomorrow for 2 pm.

We then walked into town to book a table at the Memorial Club (RSL) for dinner. That done, we wandered home for lunch and a rest. Greg then went for another walk around town and Wendy completed some admin tasks.

We walked back into town to the Club for dinner that was absolutely delicious.  Greg had the slow-cooked lamb shank with mash and veggies, while Wendy opted for the chicken carbonara.   A slow wander home was just what we needed as the meals were fairly big.
